The fingerless gloves knitting process is divided into the following steps:
1. Knit the right and left gloves separately.
2. Knit the cuff, then work increases for the thumb.
3. Continue knitting the main part of the hand: first in stockinette stitch, then switch to
ribbing and bind off the stitches.
4. Finally, knit the thumb and bind off the stitches.

MATERIALS and TOOLS
1. I used 10 ply/aran/worsted DROPS Big Merino Superwash treated extra fine merino
wool, 100% Wool, 50 g (1.76 oz), 75 mt (82 yards), red color 18. You can use any
suitable merino wool yarn with similar footage and properties for the specified size. The
following yarn is also suitable:
— Lana Gatto Maxi Soft,100% Extrafine Merino Wool, 50 g (1.76 oz), 90 mt (98
yards);
— Malabrigo Rios 100% Merino Wool, 100 g (3.53 oz), 192 mt (210 yards);
— Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted, 50 g (1.76 oz), 101 mt (110 yards).
For one pair mittens you will need:
— S sizes (16-17 cm) about 80-90 grams (2.8–3.2 Oz) of yarn;
— M sizes (18-20 cm) about 90-100 grams (3.2–3.5 Oz) of yarn;
— L sizes (21-22 cm) about 100-110 grams (3.5–3.9 Oz) of yarn;
2. Set of 4 Double pointed needles or circular needles with a long 80 cm cable or Addi
Crazy Trio needles. I used US 4 (3.5mm) size KnitPro Zing double pointed needles.
Choose knitting needles from 3.0 mm to 4 mm (US sizes 2.5–6) based on the specified
knitting gauge and your yarn.
3. Scissors; needle, markers, centimeter measuring tape, crochet hook 4.0 mm (US G-6) or less.
