This adorable little bee makes a charming decoration for your home or car. It can also be used as a photo prop, a cute keychain for your backpack or keys, or as a small toy for children.The bee is knitted flat by working back and forth in rows. The wings and antennae are knitted separately and then sewn onto the body.
The pattern is beginner-friendly. The recommended yarn is listed in the pattern, but you can also substitute it with similar yarns. The pattern is written in English and worked flat in turning rows.
SIZE
Gauge: 6 stitches and 10 rows in a 1 × 1 in (2.5 × 2.5 cm) swatch worked in stockinette stitch using US 2 (2.75 mm) needles.
Using the recommended yarn and gauge, the finished bee measures approximately 2½ × 2½ inches (6.5 × 6.5 cm including the wings).
If you use a different yarn or needle size, the finished size of the toy may vary.

To knit the bee toy you will need:

For the body and antennae I used Alize Lanagold Fine – 3.53 oz (100 g) / 426 yds (390 m), 49% wool, 51% acrylic

For the wings I used YarnArt Jeans – 1.76 oz (50 g) / 174 yds (160 m)
You may substitute with similar wool or cotton yarn with comparable yardage.
Suitable alternatives include:
— Alize Cotton Gold – 3.53 oz (100 g) / 361 yds (330 m)
— Gazzal Baby Cotton – 1.76 oz (50 g) / 150 yds (165 m)Each bee requires approximately 0.35 oz (10 g) of yarn.
