1. I used Yarn art Jeans yarn 1.76 oz (50g)/174 yds (159m), blend: 55% Cotton, 45% Acrylic. As an alternative you can use any suitable yarn with similar footage and properties for the specified size. The following yarn is also suitable:
• Drops Muscat 1.76 Oz (50 g) / 109 yds (100 m);
• DROPS Paris 1.76 Oz (50 g) / 82 yds (75 m);
• Schachenmayr Catania Originals 1.76 Oz (50g) / 136 Yds (125m);
• Alize Cotton Gold 3.53 Oz (100g)/361 Yds (330m)
For one Star Lovey Security Blanket, you will need about 4.59 ounces (130 grams) of yarn;
2. Knitting needles:
a. knitting needles with a long cable, or long straight knitting needles for knitting the
blanket. I use 3.5 mm (US 4) knitting needles with a 100 cm long cable from Addi. Choose knitting needles from 3.5 mm to 4 mm (US sizes 4–6) based on the specified knitting gauge and your yarn.
b. To knit the star and the star arms, you will need circular knitting needles with a long
cable, or double-pointed needles, or flexible needles. I use flexible Addi CraSy Trio needles in 2.75 mm (US 2). Choose knitting needles from 2.75 mm to 3.5 mm (US sizes 2–4) based on the specified knitting gauge and your yarn.
3. Scissors, knitting marker, thin needle for sewing, toy stuffing (for example, polyester fiberfill).
